Transnational community winter meeting: supporting energy renovations in European condominiums
Supporting energy renovations in condominiums is a complex challenge for One-Stop Shops (OSS). Fragmented ownership, complex decision-making, and diverse stakeholders require tailored approaches to ensure successful outcomes.
In cooperation with the LIFE co-funded project CondoReno, EU Peers presented a dedicated Transnational WINTER meeting on 3 February 2026, focused on how OSS can effectively address these renovation challenges. The session, titled “Supporting Energy Renovations in European Condominiums”, was delivered by Dr. Civ.eng.-arch. Erwin Mlecnik and Arch.eng. Ragy Elgendy from TU Delft.
Drawing on eight real-life case studies from Flanders and the Netherlands, the speakers shared concrete lessons learned, showcased four OSS models (both public and private), and discussed what works – and what doesn’t – in condominium renovations.
The session provided a valuable opportunity for participants to engage, ask questions, and reflect on how these insights can inform and strengthen OSS practices across Europe.
By sharing these lessons, CondoReno aims to support the replication of effective OSS approaches and make condominium renovations more transparent, efficient, and scalable across Europe.
