CondoReno contributes to the EU PEERS workshop on One-Stop Shops for home renovation
On 14–15 October, CondoReno project represented by EBC and UIPI at the EU PEERS Practitioners’ Workshop in Brussels, a gathering of One-Stop Shops and supporting organizations, organized in cooperation with CINEA. The event gathered municipalities, regional authorities, energy agencies, and renovation practitioners from across the EU to explore how OSS can make home renovation more accessible, affordable, and climate-aligned.
Throughout the summit, CondoReno’s partners showcased how the initiative is developing integrated renovation services tailored to condominium associations, helping to overcome technical, financial, and organizational barriers to deep renovation.
During the high-level session, “How cities and regions are benefitting from One-Stop Shops,” speakers presented different business models, success stories, and policy pathways. A dedicated intervention from the European Commission’s DG ENER highlighted how OSS can support the implementation of the revised Energy Efficiency Directive (EED) and Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD). The session concluded with remarks from CINEA, which underlined the value of such exchanges for mainstreaming OSS across Europe.
Across the consortium, CondoReno’s partners advocate for inclusive, locally anchored, and financially sustainable OSS models that empower condominium owners and managers to plan and execute renovations effectively. They stress that collaboration between public authorities, financial institutions, and construction SMEs is essential to scale up integrated renovation services and to deliver long-term energy and cost savings for residents.
