A new toolkit empowers condominium associations to drive energy-efficient renovations
Condominium associations play a central role in shaping the future of Europe’s building stock, yet making decisions on energy-efficient renovations remains a complex task. Multiple stakeholders, technical uncertainties and the need to build consensus among residents often slow down or complicate the process. To address these challenges, CondoReno has developed a toolkit designed to support condominium associations as informed and capable clients throughout their renovation journey.

At the heart of the toolkit is an interactive, web platform (available in Dutch), complemented by a set of reports and supporting materials. Built on the integrated renovation approach developed within CondoReno, it provides structured guidance and practical resources to help associations better understand, navigate and manage decision-making processes.
The toolkit offers a step-by-step plan that guides users from the initial stages of orientation through to the implementation of renovation works. It also includes tools and methods to facilitate communication, stakeholder engagement and consensus-building among residents, alongside guidance on defining client requirements and translating them into viable technical and financial solutions. In addition, it introduces the Integrated Home Renovation Services approach, highlighting its potential to deliver high-quality and affordable renovation outcomes.
A series of accompanying reports and annexes provide further depth, including an overview of existing decision-support tools, detailed roadmaps for integrated renovation processes, practical instruction materials for residents and training modules to support awareness and capacity building.
By combining clear guidance with hands-on tools and real-world insights, the CondoReno toolkit enables condominium associations to make more informed decisions and engage more confidently with professionals, ultimately contributing to more effective and higher-quality energy renovations.
